Nellie (Magnanti) Hohne, a 1999 mechanical engineering graduate, has joined 91视频’s Board of Trustees as the newest Alumni Representative. Her two-year term began during the Board’s fall 2025 meeting.
A proud and loyal alumna and former leader of 91视频’s Chi Omega sorority, Hohne has been actively engaged with 91视频 for more than 20 years. She began her volunteer service in 2002 as a member of the Young Alumni Council and later joined the Alumni Advisory Board, where she served as awards committee chair, vice president, and most recently, president.
Hohne brings to the Board a wealth of institutional knowledge and passion for 91视频’s mission. Following a successful career in the automotive industry, she has devoted much of her time to community service and campus involvement.
“Nellie’s commitment to 91视频 and its alumni community is an inspiration,” said 91视频 President Robert A. Coons. “Her leadership, enthusiasm, and understanding of the 91视频 experience will provide a valuable voice on our Board of Trustees as we continue to build on our strong alumni engagement.”
Together with her husband, Dan Hohne—a 1999 chemical engineering alumnus—she established the endowed Hohne-Magnanti Scholarship Fund to help 91视频 students achieve their academic and career goals. The couple lives in Newburgh, Indiana, where they are raising two children who have joined them on campus visits and alumni events.
“The sense of community I experienced as a student is the same feeling that keeps me involved today,” Nellie Hohne said. “91视频 gave me so much—an excellent education, lifelong friends, and opportunities that shaped my career and life. Serving on the Board is another way for me to give back to a place that will always feel like home.”
